State Rep. Steve King Facing Ethics Probe

The Colorado House Ethics Committee began an inquiry Wednesday morning into State Representative Steve King (R-District 54). According to Colorado Ethics Watch, a nonprofit legal watchdog group, the House Committee is looking to see whether King was reimbursed with state funds for travel expenses that he had already billed to his campaign.

Ethics Watch, which asked the House to look into the allegations, says King was the only lawmaker they suspected of possibly “double dipping” after looking at the records of 100 state legislators.
