"Big picture, it's unknown what the impact of this canceled voter list is."
Ethics Watch Files Campaign Finance Complaint Against Committee to Elect Dr. Jim Geddes For CU Regent

Today Ethics Watch filed a campaign finance complaint with the Colorado Secretary of State’s office against Jim Geddes’ campaign committee for failure to file two contribution and expenditure reports due on May 1 and June 2, 2008.
Dr. Jim Geddes is a candidate for University of Colorado Regent, District 6 in the 2008 general election. State law requires his candidate committee to file contribution and expenditure reports on the first business day of each month beginning the sixth full month before the major election. By failing to file his May 1 and June 2 reports, Geddes could be liable for fines of $50 per day for each day the reports are delinquent. As of June 26, these penalties amount to $4,000.
“This is not the first time Dr. Geddes has shown a lack of transparency,” said Chantell Taylor, director of Colorado Ethics Watch. “He filed his first required report 30 days late, and has not filed one since. Dr. Geddes is scoffing at voters by hiding contributions and expenditures and flouting delinquent notices from the secretary of state’s office. This lawsuit will hold Dr. Geddes accountable and compel him to follow the law.”
