Ethics Watch's Senior Counsel Speaks at Public Forum on Independent Ethics Commission

Today, Ethics Watch Senior Counsel Luis Toro was a panelist at a public forum on the status of the Independent Ethics Commission ("IEC") . Toro was invited by the Colorado Social Legislation Committee to speak about the current status of the IEC, including its executive director search and rulemaking process. Toro also addressed the functions the IEC is expected to perform with respect to investigating and holding hearings on complaints and issuing advisory opinions, letter rulings and position statements. The panel also featured Elena Nuñez of Colorado Common Cause and former Rep. Wayne Knox.
