Watching Ethics in Your Community

Secret money, slimy anonymous attack ads, politicians putting private gain ahead of the public interest – these aren’t just national problems. The muck has seeped into state government and now is heading down the levels of government closest to the people – Colorado cities, counties, school boards and special districts.

The good news is that we, the people, still have the power to clean up Colorado’s local governments and make sure the election process is transparent and accountable.

In your community, you can:

  • Attend public meetings
  • Monitor campaign mailings and other ads
  • Share insight on unethical political influence
  • Call out unreported campaign expenditures
  • File open records requests

Colorado Ethics Watch is looking for volunteers who want to learn how to be an effective watchdog in your local community. Join us and help fight for a cleaner Colorado government!
