Judge invalidates Gessler rules
A Denver district court judge recently struck down five campaign finance rules adopted by Colorado Secretary of State Scott Gessler in late February.
The Aug. 10 ruling by Denver District Court Judge J. Eric Elliff came nearly four months after political watchdog groups Colorado Common Cause and Colorado Ethics Watch filed a complaint alleging Gessler’s changes weakened campaign-finance laws
