Denver judge to decide legality of campaign regulation rewrites
With Election Day roughly three months away, a Denver District Court judge heard testimony Friday from a pair of watchdog groups and attorneys for Colorado Secretary of State Scott Gessler over rules changes the secretary made to campaign-finance regulations. In more than two hours of testimony, District Judge J. Eric Elliff peppered Gessler's attorneys with questions about the secretary's authority to make the rules changes.
