Today, Ethics Watch released a study of money being spent in the school board election in Jefferson County. Because of a high-profile recall effort, this election has drawn national attention.
Colorado Ethics Watch pored through spending and disclosure reports, and put together a series of graphics to help explain how the JeffCo recall effort is being funded. The information reflects disclosures by recall committees including the October 27 filings as well as records of television ad buys made public by authority of the Federal Communications Commission. The graphics show the large amount of money we don’t know, some of which will be disclosed in January, and some of which will never be disclosed as well as a “follow the money” trail of contributions and spending through the pro and anti recall committees.
